Shameless Plug
The whole reason behind the MS 150 is not to get out and wonder why we're nuts enough to ride from Houston to Austin on a bike. The mission is to end the effects of Multiple Sclerosis through fundraising. For the first time ever, the research money raised by the MS 150 has produced tangible results that treat the actual disease, and not just the symptoms. That makes it worth the ride for me.
I can ride from Houston to Austin, and I'm committed to giving it the best I've got to make it to Austin. However, I still need your help! Please support my ride this year with your contribution by going to my donation page. The MS Society will accept many different forms of payment, including credit cards. I sincerely appreciate your generous support, and I know the people who can't ride because of MS appreciate it, too.

Today I talked with Chris, the manager at a local restaurant where my group of co-workers frequently eats lunch. I knew that Chris was a serious cyclist; he does not one, but two MS 150 rides every year, and is active with the MS Society. Today I found out why. Chris has MS. This disease picks its victims seemingly at random, with no regard to how generous or kind, how funny or friendly, or how internally strong they are. The fact that he rides at all is an inspiration for me.

um, break a leg? Wait, that doesn't sound right. What do does one say to a bicyclist on their way to victory?
