I love iTunes!

I know, I know, you're all going to be telling me - why pay for music when there's SO MUCH of it out there for free? The long and short of it is that you get what you pay for. For me, free music (ahem, if I would have ever tried it [cough]) equated to long download times, inconsistent quality, and often, the wrong material. Also, it's the legal, ethical way to buy music. There, I said it. Enough with stealing; I'm following the rules.

Today I was desperately searching for a song that wouldn't load via eMule to save my life, which - despite its popularity - I couldn't find on iMusicShare.com (a complete waste of money). My last resort was to try iTunes. The iTunes GUI is very easy to use, music is easy to find, it's always a high-quality working version, and it downloads in seconds. For some reason, I'm very big right now on all things Apple, which doesn't hurt. I even got 5 free songs if I routed my purchases through PayPal. Within 5 minutes I had them all downloaded.

I'm trying not to go crazy with buying songs. I don't download often, so this should work out. We shall see.

  • Same with me -- I got tired of taking "chances" with Kazaa and also the spotty quality...so I've been using ITUNES since September and am very happy with it. Clean conscience helps, too!
