Game playah
I neglected to mention on my sparsely updated blog that I finally got to meet Nora and JP last week at Panera Bread before going to Wayne's and picking up the rest of my stuff. Nora was mentioned in the previous post as the inspiration behind Aquadan, as she drinks a gallon of water a day. Anyway, back on track. We had so much fun! They are both serious Scrabble players. JP, who has been here only a couple of years from France, regularly beats native English speakers at the game. Both of them "happened" to have a Scrabble board in their cars, so we got out the board and we played.
I've never been so squarely beaten in my life! I had maybe half the score of one of them. It was sad. We agreed to get together again for Cranium, a game where I believe that I can hold my own - but then again, that's what I thought about playing Scrabble in English with a French guy.
This all reminds me that I do have fun playing games with friends. Jennifer was having regular once weekly Game Nights at her place all semester, and I could never attend because of classes on Thursday night. Does anyone know if these are still going on? I'll have three weeks or so in which to cram in as much of a social life as possible before school starts again, so help me out, folks.

I think they got burnt-out on game night. Jennifer is out of town right now. I'll play board games with you!
