Breakups and Life Changes

Consider this a public service announcement for those who know me but may otherwise not hear the news.

Wayne and I have broken up effective this past Sunday night. Without going into too much public detail on something very private, it was amicable we have chosen to remain friends. This is going to be hard on both of us, so for those who are mutual friends I ask you to be patient with us both as we deal with what effectively amounts to a life change.

Before anyone panics, I recognize that I'm going to be okay. I'm surrounded by great people who have been more than supportive and I'm actually doing very well. Of course, still I'm crushed. It's not every day that I lose my best friend and the person I wanted to grow old with. I still love him very much and know that I always will.

If you love something let it go free. If it doesn't come back, you never
had it. If it comes back, love it forever.
